i cant believe we have lived here for 9 years and we just got around to doing the office. it was the first thing you would see when you walked in and it was the worst room in the house. we were able to repurpose the bookshelves by painting them and setting them on top of the counter as built ins. jim let me continue the hardwood floors into there and all the cabinets and counter top are just stock from home depot. what a difference having two work stations has made. i am hoping homework will be a breeze this year. we are totally in love with the space. the remodel has created so much more room.

Looks great Amy! And I hear ya. We still have old furniture that we bought off the back of a truck 18 yrs ago in the living room (and like you, the first thing people see when coming in our front door). Some day...
