oh no!
when we got home from vacation I found a huge mess in the basement. jims steam shower glass wall some how exploded everywhere. after researching this online this is quite common in any type of glass wall. now I need to figure out if it can be replaced or if we need to get rid of the whole unit.

dress up
chloe and morgan had not done dress up in years. the other night the put on a show for me and was quite funny. the finale was my all time favorite outfit, the red-white and blue. I don’t think I will ever be able to get rid of these. I can remember madelyn and lacie wearing these and then chloe and morgan. I am surprised that they still fit.
no more braces
chloe got her braces off. she was so excited and she looks so different. lets pray that we don’t have to do phase 2.
happy 4th
had a great time this year on the 4th. the sidwells came over to help celebrate and we just chilled on the driveway with a cook out and bonfire. we were happy to be able to see the fireworks so well from the driveway.
Madelyn turns “13”
it is hard to believe that I now have a teenager. madelyn turned 13 on the 24th of june. she had several friends come over and spend the night. they went to play laser tag and then they all brought all their papers from school and burned them. girls at this age are very silly.

air force art contest
chloes art teacher entered her in the air force art contest this year, and she came in 2nd place for her age group. she was so surprised and excited. and too our amazement she has also made it to the district art show this year. we still don’t know what art work is going to be at that one till may 12. way to go chloe.
wartinger park
had a great time on chloes field trip to wartinger park. the kids were all so cute dressed up in their prairie attire.

this year madelyn joined the track and field team. normally she does shot put and discus, but the field was flooded the other day and she had to run the 100 and 200.

too cute
as I was tucking in the kids the other night I came across roxie sleeping with madelyn. I love that roxie is using the pillow. they both were out.
hilton head 2011
hilton head this year was very cold and rainy. we were lucky that our last 2 days were good. my pasty white body was in serious need of some sun. one day we went to go meet derrick hough from dancing with the stars. very cool! then our great friends the sidwells had a overlap with our vacation so we could hang out with them for 2 days.

home sick
chloe had been home sick today with croup. I have no idea how she got it because she was fine when she went to bed last night and I thought only babies came down with this. so today the both of us spent the day crafting down in the craft room. I have been meaning to get a lot of my projects done forever. I have had this large frame on the wall in the office that had been empty since before christmas and every time I walked past it, it drove me crazy. I was able to “pimp” out our euchre basket for cards on friday and then make few little extras. it feels good to get a couple of this done.

it is hard to believe that chloe and addison have become friends. addisons mom(callie) and I have been best friends since childhood. even though we are in different states we have managed to get our girls together. they are so silly with their emails, letters and skyping of one another. we do try to get them together several times a year.addison had called and wanted a sleep over at her house so we made the road trip to see her. lets just hope that they can stay out of trouble.
