putting in an 8hr day

jim and the girls put in a good 8hrs one day to build their pretty amazing snow fort. there has been quite the snow fort envy on the street. all of the kids built the snowman family and airplane. they did an amazing job. the street looks pretty cute when you drive down.

chloes purchase

after returning about half of what she got for christmas and saving all of her birthday money and allowance chloe finally had enough to buy the laptop she wanted. we were very proud of her for saving all of her money. if you know chloe, you know when she goes to buy something it takes forever. we usually come home with nothing because she has to make certain that is what she really wants to spend her money on.
way to go on making up your mind. if nothing else it will be great for school and one less fight over who calls the computer.

chloes new look

chloe just started phase one of her braces this week. i must say i did not plan this well because she had them put on the day before her big party. she was such a trooper. her only request is that everything be cut as small as possible so she can swallow it whole. probably not the best way to eat, but it works for her.

chloes 8th birthday party

chloe finally had her big sleepover party this past week end. now i remember why i only do a party every other year. wow! they are crazy and loud. i think that everyone had a great time. they made cute pillow cases and pictures frames, played the wii, karaoke, and lots of gossiping.

puerto rico 2010

it is hard to believe that we have been home from puerto rico for almost 2 weeks now. it seems it has been no stop snow since we have been back and i can not even remember what the sun felt like on my skin. we did have a great time and jim was able to check a couple things off of his bucket list. he had his first ever massage and we were able to go to the rain forest. he said he enjoyed the massage but never stopped talking through the whole thing. the rain forest was breath taking. the trip was fabulous and something that we would love to do with the kids. now that i am back to reality i guess i will go snow blow the 9inches off of the driveway.

we are home

just wanted to let everyone know that we are home safe and sound. puerto rico was fabulous. the sun felt wonderful. i have been on a mad hunt for bibble, chloes hamster. he escaped on friday and has been mia since. i have spent my entire today searching the upstairs for him. tonight we have had some luck and have focused our search to the main floor. we found a stash of food behind the couch in the living. unfortunately my ocd has kicked into high gear and this is all that i can focus on. hopefully we have some luck tonight with some of the peanut butter traps we have set to pin point his where about. you would think that roxie could sniff him out, any other time she is obsessed with what he is doing. wish me luck so i can move onto unpacking and laundry.
