a day at the park

it is hard to believe the weather the past couple of week-ends. so warm and in the mid to upper 60's. we have had some great fun playing outside and at the park. the christmas lights and decorations have now been up for 2 weeks. dont worry we havent turned them on yet. we would never live it down from the neighbors. cough-cough-the greenings. we think we may get one more good week-end this week-end. so we are hoping to get our christmas photo taken. should be a good one.

chloes 1st big project

chloe was given her first big project this year. she was to create a habitat in a diorama. she really had a great time doing it. she thought she was so big! when it was done we have an ocean complete with swedish fish, gummy worms, volcano and some painted Clay creatures topped off with lots of hair spray glitter.

h1n1 shots

i did something that i was almost positive i was not going to do- i got the kids their h1n1 shots. after much research and debate i decided that would be the best for the girlies. chloe this summer was diagnosed with mild to moderate asthma and the flu bug seems to cause havoc on kids with this diagnosis. all went well. thank god they are older now and no longer need someone to hold them down. the line at first looked very scary but moved extremely fast. we were in and out with in an hour.

lots of new post and a redone laundry room

this is my laundry room that i redid months ago but forgot to post. excuse the laundry. it is an actual working laundry room. i always forget to take the before picutre. but it was still in the builder white(dirt) paint. i love the the ikea cabinets and the zebra print curtains. but my favorite is the adorable lamp and tray. i have posted a ton today. i think that there is a total of 10 post. you may have to go to another page. good luck and hope you enjoy.

happy halloween 2009

this was so great this year that halloween was actually held on the 31st. madelyn and lacie decided that they wanted to be goth. most likely because this would be the only time they would ever be allowed to look this way. chloe had been dying to be dorothy this year. the sidwells came back to this side of the tracks for trick or treat and a bonfire in the driveway at the greenings. the night could not have been anymore perfect.

been getting my craft on

lately i have been in the crafting mood. here are some of my projects. you never know you maybe getting one for christmas. lisa s. and i will hopefully have news in a couple days about some happenings. stay tuned!

pumpkin stand

dont you just love my new pumpkin stand. jill went with lisa, tara and myself this past fall to the extravaganza in springfield. this is the mother of all flea markets. if you have never been you must go. anyways, jill had her 1st vision for something. it was these adorable pumpkin stands. you can do so much with them. i cant wait for all of the holidays to decorate with.

lawn concert

the girls gave the neighborhood a concert of mary had a little lamb and we will rock you. there is nothing quite like the sound of 2 first year band students.

allys army

for those of you that dont know, one of chloes friends was diagnosed with leukemia this past spring. we are member of her army and also took part in the leukemia light the night walk this past fall. allys army alone raised $40,000. we hope and pray everyday for ally and her family to make it through this unfair hurdle in their life.

before and after

my altered window. i dont know why i have been so taken with these lately. i think i have a total of 4 in my house and stack in the garage that still needs something done with them. maybe they will make good christmas gifts. dont you just love a little burlap and zebra print. OhLala!

back to school

i am always sad to see summer come to a close, but my children are usally begging to get back to some sort of routine. the three of us had a great time this summer. they always enjoy doing the summer camps through the parks dept. and just hanging with friends. it is hard to believe chloe is in 2nd grade and madelyn is entering the middle school in the 6th grade.

cutie pie

ryan is just so adorable.

eucher with the greenings

jims amazing loner in eucher. dont you just get giddy when you are delt a hand like this and you can acutally play it?

annie at lacomedia

lisa invited me and the girls to go see annie with them. we all had a great time. the show was FAB. going to something like this always makes me feel like i am on vacation.
