everyone loves a rock star!

our family gift this year was guitar hero rock band. everyone loved it. even gigi had to get in on the action. jim is what we call the "lazy" rock star.

christmas 2008

everyone had a great christmas. there is nothing like seeing your kids eyes twinkle when they realize santa has come. we were so very happy that jims mom kathy could come and stay all night christmas eve with us, so she could be there to watch the kids open their presents. amazingly they both slept till 7:30. jim and myself were up and waiting for them at 6:30. go figure. my mom and dad came later that day along with jims sister and brother-in-law.

ornament drop

tonight the girls and i finally did our ornament drops. we dropped them at don pablos and of course the speedway station. we are hoping that someone finds them soon. if anyone would like to participate in the world wide ornament drop the address in ckornamentdrop.ning.com. we have had fun making and placing our ornaments. it is hard to believe that christmas is just four days away. good luck to all getting ready. merry christmas.a

on sunday gigi and papaw got all of us tickets to the ylue tide celebration in downtown indianapolis. the girls had a great time. they love to get all dressed up. i must say that i think klaudia stole the show. before the first song was even over she starting to ask when it was time to go, and then she shouts out really loud "whens goofy coming out". i thought that jim was going to wet his pants. that was all that he talked about the whole way home last night. klaudia had seen disney on ice the day before and thought that it was going to be a repeat. needless to say she did not make through the whole show.

fun was had by all at the humphrey christmas party. the girls both received sewing machines and everything to go along with it. i guess i know what i will be doing today after school. we have already spilled the straight pens several times. i just pray that roxie does not get a hold of them.

thanksgiving was a great time. the food was awesome and it is always good to get home to see family. the girls loved being able to see their cousins. to my amazement coco survived the visit with the girls. they love that they are able to pick her up and carry her around. we are all now very excited about christmas just around the corner. off to finish up my christmas shopping. i only have a couple of days let till the girls are out of school.

choir concert

madelyn had her first choir concert in november. she loves to sing and perform so this was right up her alley. i was unable to get any good photos of the actual concert due to the microphone being right in front of her face.
