i almost forgot, the kids all day monday dressed in black and played in a completely black basement. i thought this was very creative since of course it was a black-out. on tuesday they all had to dress in pink, even will.

it is hard to tell in this picture but there is a big pear on our roof.

wow!! i must say that there is nothing like getting together with old friends. it is so nice to be able to laugh and carry on that way. jami, callie and holly it was truly great to see you again. we can not wait so long in between visits. hopefully we can get together this winter sometime. as far as my house i think we will survive. these are some photos early in the storm. all we need is a new roof, which hopefully insurance will cover. we still have not heard from them. we did finally get our electricity back late afternoon tuesday. we were very fortunate compared to some in our area. have a great week. a

it is hard to believe that it is back to school time. summer went by too fast this year. i can not believe that madelyn is in 5th grade and chloe is in the big 1st grade. things around our house have become very quiet. it is just me and the rock star. roxie spends most of her day looking out the door for either the girls to get home from school or the ups man that gives out dog bones. as for me my closets are very clean. the quietness is defening. the girls are loving school. madelyn got on the team that she wanted and has lacie in her class for the first time. so far no problems. chloe is just happy to be going. she doesn't know many in her class but that is ok with her. she gets see her friend morgan on the playground. have a great week and if anyone wants to do lunch or go get pedis i'm free.
